Preschool Comes to Visit!

On October 3rd, our class hosted one of the Growing Tree Preschool classes for their Race for Education day.  We had a great time being the "Leaders and Teachers" instead of the "Learners and Followers" for the morning.  It was like we were the "Learn-to-Serve" helpers!  

Again, I was very proud to be their teacher. . . they even gave up their chairs, helped unwrap cupcakes, open drinks, and create tangram pictures.  The Preschool Teacher, Mrs. Myers, was wishing for a room full of 7 and 8 year old helpers for the whole year!

Running the RACE!



Our RACE for EDUCATION was Friday, October 4, 2013.
It was hot and muggy, but that didn't slow us down!

Chapel Devotions

The class did a GREAT JOB with their first Chapel Devotions of the year.  I was proud of them!
Here are a few photos. . . 

 The students read "Honey Bee" facts that we were learning in our insect unit.

There are some interesting things that honey bees do. . . what an amazing Creator we have! 

Then we sang "If I were a butterfly" with motions, of course.  

 Mr. Shaker lead us in Chapel as the speaker.  He got up on the chair, pretending to be bird and wildlife watching!  He is excited about his trip to the Teton National Forest in October.

Mr. Shaker always gets the students' attention!
