Computer Lab, Special Person - Remote Car, Dress Down Day. . . Phew!!

During computer lab we practice typing our spelling words, complete ixl.com math sections, and have fun with spellingcity.com.

One of our classmates chose to bring in his remote control car for Special Person.  It moved FAST!!

Can you see it the whole way down by the green slide???  Yes it could go far and over the mulch.

Chapel Devotions 9-16-15

They always make me so proud the mornings of Chapel Devotions: and this class DID NOT disappoint!

Each student shared a fact that they had researched with Learn-to-Serve partners about the Honey Bee.

Then we recited a poem "The Caterpillar" by author unknown.

Finally they sang, "If I were a Butterfly. . "

Great job 2nd graders!!

Tomato Harvest

After the school wide fire drill, our class decided to watch our neighbors harvest the tomatoes.  It was QUITE interesting!

I don't know how many thousands of tomatoes fit onto a truck bed like this, but they collected load after load after load of them.  The tractor pulling the wagon would unhook the bed after it was filled by the picker.  Then a big "road" truck would come, hook it up and take it to a city near or far away (I assume).  Fascinating!!

The First Day . . . .

It is the first day of the 2015-2016 school year!  Welcome back 2nd graders.  We had a fun day with our first day of "inside recess" due to RAIN!  Oh my!

They wrote my name in linking cubes.
What a creative bunch!!
