What an AMAZING day!
First we went to Pizza Hut where Miss Carle gave us the "insider" tour of The Hut and how to make pizza. Then we made our OWN personal pan pizzas! They tasted delicious and were even better since it was our "fruit break."
Now we are drawing our designer pizza . . . with three or more food groups!
The Planetarium at Shippensburg University is always a hit. But this class oooed and awwwed more than any other! Dr. Roddick was impressed with their "star" knowledge.
Our eyes had to become "Dark Adjusted". . . that means the pupils in our eyes had to "grow" to let in more light. Then we could see all the millions of stars that God has created in our immense galaxy and beyond! What a HUGE Creation and great Creator!
All the students enjoyed the afternoon of play and exercise at Britton park after a morning of careful listening and sitting. The Rock Wall was very popular!
We've got some "mountain goat" climbers in 2nd grade!
Mr. Emge, a Physical Therapist in Shippensburg, taught us the importance of exercise and healthy living. We learned how to throw medicine balls, use exercise bands, and use velcro and hand held weights.
We were glad for NO rain, although we still got a little muddy. But we sure worked and exercised HARD! Our bodies will thank us later.
We thank God for our healthy, lively, working bodies! We want to take good care of them, for His glory!
